The tenant has not paid rent for may or June. She wants her security deposit back. I had a back up in the basement that the plumbing company has not been able to repair it. I was willing to let her leave with no notice but she has not left. How can I get my money before she leaves if she does not give a forwarding address? Can I take her to small claims court rather than trying to evict her first. If she moves nad does not give a forwarding address I can not take her to court later.

Why has RENT (the musical) not come back to Houston?

RENT did make a stop in Houston in the late ’90s but since then: nothing. Not even a mention. I have only discovered RENT since the movie came out and am wondering if anyone out there has any info. Did something happen that made RENT not want to come back?

We put down the deposit with intention to buy the home during the 3 month lease. After finding out we couldn’t get financing, we decided not to rent a home that was on the market. Nothing was signed and we had the impression that the money was toward the deposit, not to hold the home from being leased.
