i rent out property and cant possibly know that they were selling drugs there, 50 miles away from my home.how am i legally responsible?

You wouldnt be liable if you have a rental agreement with another party who is paying for the right to use the property.
Vick is not in that situation. He is financially responsible for the property and was aware of what was going on there. Even if he did not participate he is morally, ethically and legally bound to prevent that kind of conduct from happening on his property or he becomes guilt by association.
A person who knowing does not help prevent the commission of a felony is just as guilty of the crime. Why do you think Psychatrist are obligated to break Doctor/patient privilege if they think their patient will commit a crime?

mojo this is good point u r making. vick didnt live their, his cousin did, who btw already admitted that it was all him. emmitt smith hit it right on with this one, the only reason theyre driving vick into this matter is to make a public statement and to hopefully get more names outta vicks cousin. vick never lived there so u cant hold him accountable remember he is innocent until proven guilty so technically the nfl is wrong for already condemning him. i like how goodell is cleaning up the nfl but he is almost goin againt what america is by makin people prove their innocence and assuming their guilty instead of lettiung them be innocent until proven guilty..

If you “rent” your property to your friends or relatives and fund their illegal activity then you are very much liable….nice try though.
this residence was used as a business.it was a kennell and vick had a breeders liscense that listed this place as the kennel.he didnt rent it out he let his cousin stay there in exchange for procurring and training the dogs in question.vick funded the illegal operation thats why he is being charged with conspiracy.he ordered the destruction of his dogs that lost and placed bets thru his cousin…so he could say he wasnt there my family did it if he ever got caught,plausible deniability but vick left a paper trail leading back to him.. so thats why vick is in trouble with the feds.
fuuny how people keep saying vick isnt responsible hahaha i guess they are telling us they know the law better than the feds.
