We only pay $400/month but they asked for additional $1500 in August for property taxes that we couldn’t pay. (Its in our lease to pay it) But it was suppose to be in April? Then they split it up in 3 months to pay it off but we are broke and the shop is going under on cash. They changed the locks within 10 days of us telling them we couldn’t pay it. But we would vacate by the end of the month. Now we can’t get in. Is it legal for them to just lock us out?

With commercial property they can legally lock you out the day after you don’t pay your bills. It’s not like residential units that must give you 3 days. As for property taxes, if you pay them and they are not in escrow as part of the mortgage the landlord really shouldn’t care about them/ Most counties will give you another 6 months to pay off the balance (with interest) before they take your property.
probably legal. lockouts on commercial property are much easier for landlords that evictions of tenants from residential property.
