I am gonna sue my ex for back pay on rent and utilities. We have no written agreement. Can I still sue?

I let him move in under the condition that he have a job and pay half – 8 months later (my fault) no job, no rent. I dump him, and demand he pay me back what he owes but now hes saying there is no way I can make him.
I have people willing to sign a form saying he lived with me, and I keep copies of all my bills.
Do I have a solid case?

you can sue him in civil court, the person with the most documentation will probably win. you only need a preponderence of evidence
Het hangt af van wat u door " bedoelt; ex". U zou geen echtgenoot kunnen vervolgen omdat de rekeningen als echtelijke activa worden beschouwd die in het kader van een scheidingsbesluit worden behandeld. U kon een ex-vriend vervolgen maar u zou moeten bewijzen dat de overeenkomst zoals zijn naam op de huur of de rekeningen bestond of mensen die zullen getuigen dat zij hem hoorden met de regeling akkoord ga. Zijn enkel het leven met u kan niet zijn genoeg.
Sure you can sue. Anyone can sue anyone for anything.
Can you win? Unlikely, to be honest. You’d need to satisfy the court that there was an agreement that he paid half, and that he didn’t.
The fact that you let him mooch off you for 8 months before you kicked him to the curb is likely top make a judge think you didn’t have a “you have to pay half” agreement, because if you had, you should have thrown him out sooner.
Rule #1…. GET IT IN WRITING !
