Can rent to own come inside your house to get their items back? I have a problem and that is I don’t have?

the money to pay my rto bill thats due on monday and I don’t have their items (laptop and tv). My family member has them downstate using them for college. WHAT can I do? Its impossible for me to get the items back right away. Do I tell rto I don’t have them? someone stold them? or what? Will I go to jail? These people at rto are extremely mean.

Call RTO and let them know you are in a financial bind right now. They may be able to work out a different payment plan for you. Don’t ignore them or lie to them. In the meantime, can you get a hold of the family member that is using them and ask for some assistance for paying for them? After all, they are the ones using them. You may have to scrounge the neighborhood parks, etc. for soda cans and bottles. Recycle them for cash to put towards a payment–even if it is only a small amount. You could do some other “odd jobs” even temporary to create a little extra income–like tutoring a student, before or after-school child care, etc. Make more meals at home and be thrifty with the ingredients–no steak. Save the money you normally spend on fast food and coffee drinks and put towards a payment. You can probably come up with more ways to cut costs and put towards the payment. If you foresee it becoming a problem for next month’s payment, take steps NOW to get the items back from the family member to return them to RTO or have the family member take over the payments. You don’t want to have this become a bigger problem than it already is. Read the fine print in your contract. Good luck.
Have your family member overnight them to you and return them to RTO. Get a receipt for returning them.
Other than that ask the family member to send you money so that you can pay for them.
