does the us goverment have a program ,where they will grant you money to do renovations on your property?

see here is the deal,im not able to afford nor am i physically able to clear off to old houses in my back yard,i have 2 kids and its a hazard to have the back yard like this,ive tried asking the small city fire dept to come and burned them down,but they wont,so im at a loss for what to do,this home i live in was willed to me by my grandmother and is 200 years old and trust me its in so need of fixing up ,but im thankful to have what lil i have do not get me wrong,but im disabled and on a fixed income and trying to make my backyard liveable so my 2 children can play in there back yard,any way,any info would be helpful thanks

Look for HUD loan programs. They have several.
No, not unless your city or state have gone through a disaster. Sometimes local governments have grant money, but not often. Usually you can find nonprofit groups that will do it for you. Try contacting Habitat for Humanity. If they cannot help you, perhaps they know someone in your area who can.
