Buying a already renovated house Vs Buying an Old house and renovate it?

I am first time home buyer.
Is it advisable to buy an old house and renovate it rather than buying an already renovated house ?
What are the challenges in renovating house ? (Working with cotractors etc….).

You’re a first time home buyer. That indicates that you own no tools and don’t have any experience when it comes to remodeling (or using the tools). So my suggestion is to buy the remodeled house.
Contractors will do a job half as well as a home owner who can figure out how to do the job themselves.
