Real estate agents charge tenants widely varying fees for rental properties.

Is it possible to find a cheap agent, then somehow ask that agent to contact the landlord/agent of a property (that they aren’t an agent for) to rent?

This would mean the agent with low fees would somehow need to contact the owner to let them know about a potential tenant. Usually it’s the other way around – owner contacts agent to find tenant.

I just wanted to know if anyone knew about this. I’m planning on moving out by December 1st, so will I get my deposit the same day?

I’m moving out before Dec 1, I emailed my landlord about it, but I’m still waiting on his answer.

First, does my landlord have any grounds for evicting me and my partner because we had a town inspector come out and cite him for all the code violations? Second, the inspector said our apartment is illegal, meaning the house was converted without the proper permits, so my question is are we entitled to rent back or what happens in this case?

I was served with papers to appear in Small claims court for back-owed rent on a former apartment. The property manager/owner is only suing me for this. When the lease was signed by my former boyfriend and myself. Can she legally only take me to court for this, and not him too?

I live in an apartment complex and was told no convicted child molesters live here by the landlord… Only to find out 6 months later that there is one living here. Now they are kicking him out but trying to keep it a secret from the other tenants… Is there a law for me to get my rent back that I paid while he was living here ??? Please help me out. Thank you. You know how some credit cards have cashback bonuses for purchases? I want to find a way to do that for my rent… But writing cash advance checks don’t count towards this, and my landlord doesn’t accept credit cards. Does anybody know of a checking account program or billpay system that would give cashback rewards on paying my rent?

I had paid my rent well in advance and we got permission from our landlord in writting that we could terminate our agreement early as they were selling and that they would refund us our advance rental (about 3 weeks worth). Once we had moved out they advised us they had changed their mind. The CTTT can not help as there is nothing in the Residential Act referring to advance rental payments and they will not rule on something that has not got a legislation.

i wasnt planning on moving out, but i found a great apartment a week before the end of the month..so i told my landlord i was moving out. i didnt owe him any past rent and when i moved in i gave a last month’s rent..since i didnt use it, do i get that money back?

A friend of mine received an eviction notice for unpaid rent. The notice stated that things could be resolved if he paid the back rent, the current months rent, and all attorney’s fees. My friend paid this to the sum total of $1900.00 (the back rent he owed was only $625). Two days later he received a notice from the landlord that he still had to vacate the unit. Does my friend have any rights in this matter?

I always paid ontime and its not like I dont want to pay her, I just dont have it. I’m a single Mom with two small kids! Has anyone experienced this type of situation before? I only owe two months rent and I just lost my job a few weeks ago.
