I am looking at houses to buy and today say a house which is selling around 300,000 but needs work done on it to make it new or should i keep looking for a better house. Which would you choose and what would you take under consideration?

This house is a lot cheaper than the ones in mint condition and the person I talked to said that the repair cost wouldn’t be a lot. It’s in NYC. Very expensive. First time buyer.

I’ve sold my house and got the completion date. But if my buyer is agreeable, I would like to rent it back for a week or two to enable some work on my purchase. What are the pro’s and con’s? (My buyer won’t be moving in immediately.)
