Can anyone tell me if it is neccessary to put knotting on new wood before staining? I have learnt from experience that you have to do it before painting but if it’s not essential before applying stain it will be one job less in amongst a mountain of things that I have to do !!Honestly…..I love this house but I am beginning to think that I must be insane to be doing this alone !!

My friends son-in-law had his parents coming to visit him from California to Illinois. They were stranded in Wyoming and told the car cost too much to fix. so he drove in a rented vehicle from Illinois to Wyoming to pick them up and bring them to Illinois. How much do you think it cost to rent this mini van for a couple of days? I think he should take them back to California. What do you think?
To be exact, it is 1020 miles each way. I personally could not believe they plan to bring them back to Illinois for a mere 6 days.

i just purchsed a forecloser free&clear in detroit for 25,000 thats worth 100,000and im wondering if i cant sell it fast enough (3 months) should i just take out a home loan and keep and pay interest on the loan while trying to sell it to invest in other properties that may sell before my original 25,000 purechase to keep leverage on my money?

Im a SCG who worked summer school for the 1st time this year. I had an open unemployment claim from last year, so when I stopped working the end of July, I was told I could reopen my claim, but since then I received a letter on Sat stating Im ineligible. Here is the deal, I paid deposit and decided to pay 1st months rent as well. We have a receipt for this. Come the day before we were scheduled to move, our vehicle broke down. In this case we were not able to move yet, because the vehicle had broke down and we lived 4 hours away and had no means for transportation. We had to return our uhaul and everything. Note that we didn’t even have keys to this apartment.
